Structures for Hebron mining field

Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia is carrying out commissioning the structure of four pile anchors  which are designed for Hebron mining field in Newfoundland.

EPG will perform four structures with a diameter of 1.7 m and a length of 16 m, which will be used to anchor to the seabed construction of two turrets that have also been made in the EPG. Recently the similar structures EPG made for Greater Stella mining field.

Reconstruction of the “Petrobaltic” platform

On Tuesday, October 21, the “Petrobaltic” drilling platform arrived in Gdynia, which will be rebuilt by the MARS Group companies into an operational platform. Two Tri-City shipyard groups, which increasingly appear in the industry as competitors, fought for the contract; Remontowa Holding group and Mars Shipyards & Offshore.

In the tender for the reconstruction of the platform, Lotos clearly focused on experienced and stable shipyards. Companies that had projects related to the construction/reconstruction of drilling platforms or jack-up vessels could participate in it. The contractor also had to have appropriate technical potential and personnel and demonstrate that it had generated sales revenues at a level not lower than PLN 400 million annually in each of the last two financial years and have equity of not less than PLN 200 million.

Reloading of sections of an oil platform – project by Edvard Grieg

Energomontaż Północ Gdynia has completed the construction of another section of the drilling platform. On April 17, the 168-ton structure left the plant and sailed to the customer.

The project of building 8 sections of the Edvard Grieg platform is being carried out by a company from Gdynia for the Norwegian giant in the offshore industry, Aker Solutions. Weighing 200 tons, section 8, completing the project, will leave the plant in May this year.

The first stage of loading consisted of moving the sections using a hydraulic sliding trolley system. In the second stage, the structure was reloaded from the quay to the ship using the Maja floating crane.
