EPG signed a new contract with DEME

On 19th of May, 2021 Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia signed the contract with DEME Offshore for fabrication and delivery of 27 sets of equipped Secondary Steel structures for Offshore Wind Turbine Generator foundations and Offshore Substation Transition Piece for Arcadis Ost 1 project.

 

Arcadis Ost 1 is a 257 MW Offshore Wind Farm being built in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Germany. It will be located in a 12 nautical mile zone, 20 km northeast of the island of Rügen.

The awarded contract is consistent with Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic`s long-term business strategy and establishes EPG’s position as a competent partner in the offshore wind energy market. Secondary steel structures are, together with Substation, one of the two key products in the portfolio of Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic.

Major tender for Polish Offshore Wind projects

Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia is the first Polish company to enter the first major tender for Polish Offshore Wind projects !

Following our previous announcement in respect to EPCI tender for Electrical Offshore Substation we would like to inform that EPG’s offer for design, construction and installation of Offshore Substation in Polish Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Baltic Sea, prepared in collaboration with a strategic partner British technical service provider Offshore Design Engineering Limited (ODE) has been qualified for the next stage (short list) in the tender process. We are confident that the experience gained by EPG as one of the leading suppliers of multidisciplinary projects for Offshore Industry combined with expertise from some of the key players in the market will enable us to successfully compete in this tender and beyond.

This is the first EPG EPCI tender and first ever tender for the main contractor for Polish Offshore Wind Farms.

EPG in EPCI tender

We are pleased to announce that Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia S.A. as the only Polish company is currently engaged in the EPCI tender for Offshore Substation in the southern waters of the Baltic Sea. Concept design and tender package has been developed in cooperation with group of established companies from Poland and Western Europe and includes the design, construction and installation of the offshore substation. 

EPG sets off to provide the clear example, that Polish entities are ready for challenges related to Offshore Wind Energy. In the following months, we will focus on strengthening our fruitful cooperation with partners who participate with us in the preparation for the above project. At the same time, we will be constantly looking for new, reliable partners for new projects that are just appearing on the horizon.

We also hope that this is the first step towards a whole range of new projects and opportunities that are currently opening up for Polish companies.

Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia SA has completed the execution of modules for the FPSO Johan Castberg project

Last Saturday, the module of the Johan Castberg project was loaded at the Port of Gdynia.

The modules manufactured by Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia SA, with a weight of 319 and 279 tons, have been equipped with all the necessary devices and equipment, including electrics, pipelines, insulation and hydraulics. Once again, loading was carried out with a detailed plan and in accordance with the highest HSE standards. The completed elements transported by sea are ready for the final assembly on the FPSO unit, which will take place in Stord, Norway.

EPG worked for Johan Castberg project for almost two years, and the shipment is the culmination of great cooperation with our customers – Kvaerner and many Polish subcontractors.

Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia S.A. joins Bladt on Kaskasi Offshore Substation Project

Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia S.A. has been selected by Bladt Industries as a subcontractor for prefabrication of Kaskasi Topside and sea fastening. EPG has started production of  steel structure for the Bladt Industries in July 2020, in Gdynia.  

The Kaskasi offshore wind farm is a 342MW wind project located in the German North Sea. The project is owned and being developed by RWE.

Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia S.A. has been heavily involved in providing steel construction for offshore sector for years.  This contract, a result of our gained experience in complex projects in the field of steel structures is also a good EPG`s continued expansion in the offshore wind renewable energy sector.
