EPG accomplished fabrication of completely outfitted subsea structures for Gina Krog – Norwegian oil field located on the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

Scope of EPG work consist of Submerged Turret Loading and Riser Base structures fabrication, with total weight 500 tons. Riser Base will be installed on the seabed to provide transfer of unprocessed crude oil to the surface, while the Turret will deliver oil directly to the FSO (Floating Storage and Offload Unit).

The project is an another example of a good cooperation between Energomontaz-Polnoc Gdynia and NOV APL. A year ago EPG has fabricated structure of Single Anchor Loading system, which was intended for the oilfield Greater Stella. In 2015 EPG accomplished also fabrication of two turrets for Hebron project.

This time, the EPG has performed the largest and the most complicated ever subsea structure. The diameter of the element is 11.2 m and the height of 13 m.

STL is one of the most modern and safest solutions for mooring and transferring of oil to the FSO units.

Field Gina Krog is located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, the water depth at the site is approximately 116 m. Oil and gas production from the field is expected to start in early 2017., Field resources are estimated at about 225 million barrels. NOV APL (Advanced Production Loading) is a Norwegian engineering company, specializing in providing systems for the loading and transfer of oil to rigs and ships. Since 2010. APL is a part of National Oilwell Varco.
